2009 F150 Rear Door Won T Open. Now, check whether the issue is with the mechanisms or the inside shafts. Rear doors wont open they release at the top of door but not at the bottom if its anything like a full size f150 you will need new latch assemblies, get them from the dealer.

Once you’ve grasped it with the curved end of the wire, pull towards the direction of the back of the f150. Attach a nut at the end of the shaft to tighten the grip, thus allowing the door to open from the outside. Contact ford they have to fix it.

The door panel is almost ready to come off at this point. 3 remove rear seats( leave in truck, just prop up against front seats and seccure with bungies).

So i took a hammer and long bar and shattered the mechanism and was able to find a lever that opened the door. You will need to remove the inside door panel, what that takes i don't know, but it must come off to access the door latch, there you will likely find the latch release control rod has come off or the latch is defective.
